The first of what the company says will be a yearly event will "join together with the Art Basel team, the leadership team from Surfrider, gallerists, Miami locals, city officials and art enthusiasts from around the world for this inaugural local cleanup effort". Called Pink Meditation Buoy, it will feature a series of pink forms planted in the ocean and visible from the shore of Faena Beach. Digital artist Andrés Reisinger will showcase a collaboration with art foundation Reefline during Miami Art Week. Artist Pilar Zeta has created a sculpture in the garden of the hotel W South Beach featuring a portal and a series of steps that lead to a large sphere and pyramid.

The stand of Wexler Gallery features the work of Jomo Tariku, an Ethiopian American artist who says he likes to take new shapes and apply them to design in order to challenge himself to create good-looking pieces of furniture. The Meedo series explores the symbolism of the combs and Black beauty standards, with works priced at $32,000 to $95,000. Highlighted is the idea of shelter and safety as integral to cultural production and collective creation.

Collaborating with artists Hannah Yan, Jen Stark, Kaoru Tanaka, and Robert Hodgin, the project draws inspiration from Shiseido’s fusion of art, science, and key elements in the Future Solution LX line. The collection, emphasizing refinement and modernity, showcases the brand’s commitment to beauty industry innovation. Andrés Reisinger’s “Take Over” was another architectural intervention that felt as high impact offline as it looked online. Adapted from Reisinger’s series of digital renderings that depict buildings wrapped in pink curtains, the piece’s construction was simple and yet the outcome created an instant Design District landmark — which is no easy feat in a neighbourhood filled with designer flagships.

Design Miami/ inaugural Paris fair to debut this October 2023

The other big story in Miami last week was the arrival of Alcova, the independent design exhibition that has made a name for itself with its edgy, experimental Milan editions each spring. For its first international version, Alcova took over the Selina Miami Gold Dust, a 1950s-era three-storey roadside motel with a courtyard swimming pool. Luxury auto brand Lexus led the charge with a special installation at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami. Envisioned by Dutch solar designer Marjan van Aubel, “8 Minutes and 20 Seconds” captured solar energy by day to deliver a bright spectacle by night. This is especially apparent in South Beach, where Ocean Drive presents a long row of art deco hotels splashed in pastel shades and illuminated by bright neon signage. As we enter the holidays, a few of those buildings have even decorated their patios with life-sized statues of Santa dressed in beach shirts and sipping cocktails out of coconut shells.

The pop-up installation will remain on display until January 4, 2024 at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach at 40 Island Ave. Making her US debut, the world’s first AI designer Tilly AI will showcase five ‘future living’ design prototypes crafted in collaboration with human designers and artisans. Responding to emotional intelligence and using voice recognition, Tilly will share insights about her designs and also serve as The Standard Spa Miami Beach’s concierge for the week.

Known for her oozing and multicolored artworks, Dan Lam will be unveiling a massive sculpture at Wynwood Walls, one of the best venues in Miami to see leading street artists. Titled ‘A Subtle Alchemy,’ the sculpture stands over 8.5 feet tall to mark one of Dan’s largest pieces to date. It is crafted from metal, styrofoam, and epoxy, and is the first of the artist’s pieces to be painted with automotive paint and finished with a chameleon pigment — a finish which lends the dripping forms their shifting, iridescent hues.

Design Miami/ is an international decorative arts and design platform that presents live fairs on four continents, showcasing design elements and furniture from all over the world. Along with its online shop, the company provides a diverse and unique marketplace for collectors and design enthusiasts to not only acquire work but also learn about the global culture of design and its contemporary trends. At their Design District location, Molteni&C staged an artistic intervention by Brazilian-American artist Claudia Vieira. Titled 'Drawing Spaces', the live art installation saw Vieira create a site-specific, meditative artwork over a day on 30 November. The artist drew her signature continuous lines across the spaces of the showroom (including walls, ceilings, windows and floors), as well as on some of Molteni&C's most iconic pieces, from Jasper Morrison’s Tea dining chairs to Vincent Van Duysen’s VVD kitchen.

Designed to lead to a central nucleus envisioned as a kind of public plaza, the installation was the rare urban intervention that was as compelling in person as it looked online. Its large walls and occasional openings framed the ocean and the city skyline in interesting new ways, while its construction was refreshingly low-cost. (Each of the walls was made of plywood boards that were painted grey and then splashed in sand while still wet.) Watching kids and adults alike emerge from the maze’s corridors into the central clearing made for a refreshing showcase of community space. Appliance company Kohler's WasteLAB division has teamed up with artist Nada Debs to create a custom hammam spa at Design Miami.

In addition to the main exhibition, Design Miami/ 2023 will feature a number of curated shows and special events. Design Miami/ will be held at Convention Center Drive & 19th Street, Miami Beach, from December 6th — 10th, 2023. Untitled Art, a contemporary art fair held on the sands of Miami Beach, will return for its 2023 edition.

Reflecting the gallery’s devotion to spotlighting design based on the natural world, the presentation features a collective of artists that champion innovative, sustainable, and restorative practices. Perhaps most striking is Angela Damman's eco-contemporary chandelier handcrafted with sansevieria plant fiber, which looms over two hairy blonde sisal fiber benches by Fernando Laposse. The fashion brand returns with its annual experimental project, this time with Austrian artist Lukas Gschwandtner, a move away from its usual designer collaboration. This year’s commission – Triclinium by Lukas Gschwandtner and Fendi – brings the fashion house’s home city of Rome to Miami beach with the Vienna-based artist creating canvas sculptures inspired by female figures.

This wasn’t Ross’s only big Miami project, either — he was also behind Formation 01, a sculptural Kohler faucet unveiled at Design Miami/. Made of Neolast (a proprietary composite) in an attention-grabbing orange, the angular fixture is limited to an edition of just 299. That said, don’t mistake the city’s weeklong program of art and design events for a celebration of empty visual excess. Instead, Miami Art Week 2023 demonstrated thoughtful focus on a new breed of sustainable whimsy.

Offering a moment of meditation in the design fair environment is a modern hammam by Beirut-based designer Nada Debs, made using sustainable tiles from Wisconsin-based brand Kohler’s WasteLab. Tapping into the idea of rebirth and rejuvenation via materials, the immersive experience links to the idea of the ‘Golden Age’ for humanity. 'Debs has a great sensibility in realising a new tile with the WasteLab of Kohler, underlining once again the commitment of both designer and company regarding sustainability,' says Didero. To amplify the importance of ocean conservation, an augmented reality installation ‘The Art in Earth’ will transform Eden Roc Miami Beach into an immersive and ever-changing canvas. The display teleport visitors to oceans around the world, once still satellite images are activated with Art House technology. Prints of these aerial ocean scenes will be available at the event, with proceeds benefiting the PangeaSeed Foundation, a Hawaii-based, internationally engaged nonprofit organization acting to further ocean conservation.

Lukas Gschwandtner can hardly contain his excitement as he walks through his own eye-catching Fendi presentation. Unlike the obviously dazzling seating arrangements on view elsewhere at the fair, those in the Vienna-based artist’s booth must be explained. Inspired by the postures in ancient Roman fresco portraits, with their muses sprawled across decadent thrones, Gschwandtner dreamt up a triclinium—that is, a Roman-style dining room of chaise longues— accessorized with the deconstructed materials of a Fendi Peekaboo handbag. The installation, aptly titled Triclinium, is completed with a video, in which the artist explains how to “wear” each piece.

Breez transports visitors to the nostalgic world of old South Florida dive bars, crafting an alternate universe filled with life-sized cut-out figures, sculptures, and drawings that capture the essence of this vanishing era. Kemahlioglu’s latter series is a harmonious blend of past and present, highlighting ancestral Murrine hand-blown glass techniques and native Meerschaum clay minerals in colorful pendant lighting forms. The inspiration for this collection draws from the concept of a charm necklace, where each charm is thoughtfully chosen for its sentimental significance.

Featuring over 130 works, this presentation is conceptualized as a meditation on anticipation and expectation—the invisible part of a work, commonly imperceptible to the viewer. Created in partnership with USM Modular Furniture, a 9-foot-tall display case, composed of ” glass cubes with darkened posterior walls creates an immersive enclosure, concealing an internal exhibition space. Each year in late November, designers of all stripes pack up their studio practices and migrate south.

Powered by organic photovoltaic cells, colourful lights illuminated a group of transparent sheets printed with graphics that recreated the silhouette of the Lexus Future Zero-emission Catalyst (LF-ZC) concept car. Since its inception in 2005, this annual fair has become a nexus for collectors, curators and design enthusiasts, showcasing cutting-edge creations and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the realm of design. Utopia by Bohinc Studio

Another new addition is the Kabinett sector, which will showcase curated exhibitions of works by individual artists or groups of artists. The sector will provide a more focused viewing experience, allowing visitors to delve deeper into the work of the artists on display. Art Basel Miami Beach will take place at the Miami Beach Convention Center, 1901 Convention Center Drive, from December 8th — 10th, 2023.

Pastor wrecks Barbie Dream House with Bible taped to baseball bat

greg locke barbie house

You can even see the Barbie doll that started it all, clad in a black and white striped swimsuit and her iconic ponytail. That same month, he held a book burning outside of Nashville, in which people burned Harry Potter books and Disney products. During the book burning, a gay man threw a Bible in the fire, proclaimed “Hail Satan! Somehow we almost missed MOUNT JULIET, TN MAGA grifter Greg Locke demolishing a Barbie Dream House with a Bible attached to a baseball bat. He then dropped the mic, grabbed the Bible-wrapped baseball bat, and franticly smashed the Barbie Dream House to pieces in a bid to to illustrate his analogy. But several weeks later — as The Tennessee Holler points out — Barbie is sitting pretty with over a billion dollars in the bank and counting.

Pastor Greg Locke has a Bible duct-taped to a baseball bat. He destroys doll houses with it.

The house is situated in a neighborhood of Santa Clarita called Canyon Country in Northwestern Los Angeles County. It’s unclear if Locke specifically destroyed a Barbie Dream House to protest the recent Barbie film. In July, fellow right-wing Christian preacher Kent Christmas asked God to “loose a Holy judgment” on the film because it’s “full of transsexual and transgender and homosexuality.” The film has several queer actors in it, but no explicit LGBTQ+ content.

Gerwig’s summer blockbuster, which has received heaps of rave reviews, includes several LGBTQ+ references and queer-coded characters, but there are no explicit LGBTQ+ roles or themes in the movie. After uncovering the Dream House, Locke explained that the children’s toy represented… the grip that temptations like pornography have on some.

Greg Locke timeline: From independent Baptist pastor to right-wing firebrand

After welcoming more than 100,000 guests at its Toronto location, World of Barbie made its U.S. debut Friday in Santa Monica. If you can manage a drive by of the area, the house will be hard to miss as it has a massive pink handle labeled with the classic Barbie 'B' sticking out of the roof and larger-than-life pink flamingo statues lining the path to the front door. One lucky Barbie superfan will even get the chance the stay in the Barbie Dreamhouse, which will depend on which design duo wins the competition. The house used for the show, Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge, is located in Santa Clarita in Southern California. This picturesque suburb of Los Angeles is one of the most expensive places to live in the country, so of course it has stunning views and everything you could possibly need.

greg locke barbie house

But like most conservatives, the movie has left him outraged and become something of an obsession for him over the summer. He then went on to explain how demons can keep possessing you even if you've expelled them because you didn't demolish the demon's house—which naturally includes things like iPhones, Netflix and other human beings' phone numbers. Locke added, "You better believe I'm gonna spend my life casting out demons, but if I'm gonna feed the sheep, I'm gonna have to spend the other half of my life teaching people how to be disciplined, and say yes to the right things and no to the wrong things. That's what the Word of God teaches." The demolition of the Barbie product could be linked to anti-LGBTQ+ backlash Greta Gerwig’s box office-dominating, live-action film has received.

Self-proclaimed born-again Christian and evangelical Tennessee pastor Greg Locke went viral this week for a truly weird sermon he conducted in June in which he went beserk about Barbie, demolishing the beloved toy’s iconic dreamhouse. ” It’s not quite clear if the sermon, which came roughly a month before Barbie The Movie was released in theaters and earned over $1 billion at the box office, was a direct hit on the Warner Brothers’ film. But the dollhouse was completely in tatters when Locke was finished speaking. Locke, the pastor of Global Vision Bible Church in Mt. Juliet, Tenn., told church members that they're involved in a "spiritual supernatural battle" that must be fought with the Word of God.

Pro-Trump Pastor Destroys Barbie Dream House With A Bible Wrapped Around A Baseball Bat

Keep track of the ongoing battle against bias and for equality with our newsletter. The LGBTQ+-inclusive film is on track to become the first Hollywood movie directed by a woman to make $1 billion. That's according to infamous far-right Christian zealot and downright weirdo Greg Locke, whose recent sermon was all about the supposedly demonic influence of Barbie. The LGBTQ+ stories you don’t want to miss, delivered to your inbox daily.

A pastor has smashed up a Barbie Dream House with a Bible taped to a baseball bat in a supposed bid to “demolish” evil spirits. All guests enter the premises and participate at their own risk, and release Kilburn Experiences 3, LLC, Mattel, Inc., their affiliates, successors, assignees, licensors and licensees from all liability of any nature while engaging in the event. Guests are encouraged but not required to wear masks during their visit. Guests are strictly prohibited from running, jumping, or climbing of any kind on the premises and/or within the experience.

Trans-Inclusive ‘Barbie’ Film Shatters ‘Harry Potter’ Box Office Record

No word on the status of porn demons, but they’re probably fine too. Locke, a Nashville-based religious leader known for his bouts of showmanship, is an open supporter of former President Donald Trump. His outburst took place during a sermon before the “Barbie” movie was released last month. Some have said that this is a Barbie Dream House, but there is nothing in the sermon to suggest Locke is connecting the Barbie move to demons–at least not in this two-month old sermon.

“I curse in the name of the Lord this new Barbie movie that has been released full of transsexual, and transgender, and homosexuality,” Christmas said, before calling for God to make a “holy judgement” on the film. Right-wing Tennessee-based pastor Kent Christmas spoke out against the film prior to its release in July. This isn’t the first time Locke has made extraordinary claims.

Locke has been elbows deep in ‘deliverance ministry’ after a bunch of witches supposedly have been harassing his church and has partnered up with crackpot Isaiah Saldivar to help him get the problem under control. He has said that LGBTQ+ people are “demonic,” “perverted,” and want to “cram it down my kids’ throats.” He also called “transgenderism” “nonsense” and said that LGBTQ+ people are “openly celebrated” and not “persecuted” like Christians. In February 2022, Locke threatened to expose six witches who allegedly infiltrated his Tennessee church, unless they voluntarily left his congregation. And his Barbie Dreamhouse stunt certainly raised some eyebrows on social media. Careful everyone—that Barbie Dreamhouse you may have bought after the Barbie movie might be full of evil spirits. Barbie has also faced a backlash in the US, with staunch conservative pundits such as Ben Shapiro burning Barbie dolls and criticising the film for being “man-hating” and pushing an LGBTQ+ agenda.

The Oyster Bar

Awesome shellfish in a basement dive bar complete with year-round Christmas lights. Crispy wonton shells with lobster, avocado, and an Asian vegetable salad.

Fresh Fish & Seafood

The lively Oyster Bar features a convivial atmosphere with spacious booths lining the room and an abundance of high-top tables perfect for a drink and appetizer after work or a full dining experience with friends. With a wrap around wooden bar and bartenders that remember your name, Shaw’s Oyster Bar is the Chicago destination for a round of oysters on the half shell and a martini. It’s the specialty here, and we usually have a plate of them on the table when going big in the dining room.

FULL BODIED WHITES

You know exactly what you’ll get, and when you’re here that’s exactly what you want. Shaw’s is basically the seafood version of a steakhouse. It has big red leather booths, white tablecloths, and a wait staff dressed in black pants, white dress shirts, and black vests. And while it’s nice, there are also often random tourists wandering in off the streets in their finest Hawaiian or I ❤️ Chicago shirts.

Shaw’s sources daily catches flown in from coast-to-coast by working directly with fishermen and farmers. Cold Storage is seafood bar attached to a steakhouse. Post up at the bar for oysters and other fresh fish. The design – cast in a 1940’s style setting – has two dining rooms offering guests a dual experience between the more casual and lively Oyster Bar and the traditional white tablecloth Main Dining Room.

River North, Chicago

Shaw’s has an unbelievable buffet for around $59. There’s French toast, eggs benedict, Do-Rite donuts, oysters, sushi, crab claws, crab cakes, shrimp, and about 25 other things. And that doesn’t even take into account a sweets table that’s nothing short of ridiculous. Pricey, yes, but worth it every now and then or for a special occasion.

You 100% need them if you’re in the oyster bar, and you probably do in the dining room too. “The round sesame bread, which is our signature, it’s called the Bashka. We put bell peppers, mushrooms, corn, olives and it’s on the grill, with your preference of American cheese or pepperjack cheese,” he said. One nice touch is fresh olive and pickle bar, featuring crunchy carrots, cauliflower and other pickled veg.

Normally we skip things like this at restaurants, but Shaw’s is the kind of place where you order the seafood tower. We appreciate Shaw’s for the right occasion, which can actually be any occasion as long as you’re willing to spend a bunch of money on seafood like oysters, crab legs, and sushi. It’s great for date night, dinner with family, or an all-out gathering of friends. Shaw’s isn’t innovative or exciting with a constantly changing menu, but it’s comforting.

Shaw’s Crab House has been serving fresh seafood with classic preparations since 1984. This American Seafood classic offers a variety of freshly shucked oysters, made to order sushi and more than 40 seafood dishes including our signature Alaskan King Crab Legs. Our reputation relies on quality ingredients prepared in a straight-forward style, with crisp, professional service. A tower of seafood with oysters, shrimp, crab, and lobster.

from the sushi bar

Being locals, this means Shaw’s falls off our radar at times. Shaw’s Crab House is a Chicago institution that boasts a selection of seafood with a longstanding commitment to offering top quality ingredients since 1984. Working directly with fishermen and farmers, Shaw’s sources daily catches flown in from coast-to-coast. With an ethos of spotlighting ingredients first, Shaw’s menu features simple preparations executed to perfection to allow quality to take center stage.

Cooks will either slice the shawarma old school, with a thin, long serrated knife, or if it’s busy, they’ll pull out the electric shavers, which do the trick nicely. The vertical spits are clearly the stars at Hello Shawarma, wedged between a Hello Hookah and a Hello Thai in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it mall along south Harlem Avenue. You choose from lamb, beef or chicken, sliced fresh. Then, either stuffed into pitas or stacked into sandwiches or rolled up in thin, lavash-like wraps. Joe’s is consistently one of the best steakhouses in town, and you shouldn’t even order steak. One minute you’re watching people get Slimed on Nickelodeon, and the next you’re trying to figure out how to contribute more than $0 to your 401K.

So as we get older, it’s nice to hang onto a few things that manage to stay the same. Shaw’s Crab House is one of those places - a classic restaurant that continues to be the exact same great place in River North. The brothers have big plans, hoping to expand their concept this year. In the meantime, they’re focused on Hello Thai next door, which will bring the same level of commitment to making dishes from scratch.

Many of these family-friendly accommodations are near a new-for-the-line outdoor "neighborhood" called Surfside, which is dedicated to families with young children. Surfside features splash areas for babies and kids, pools and lounge spaces for parents, family-friendly eateries and shops, and a bar with "mommy and me" matching mocktails for kids and cocktails for grownups. Not far from Port Canaveral, the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is a great place to spend a day admiring the vast scope of NASA. The center offers one-of-a-kind immersion into space exploration, including the chance to strap into a rocket launch simulator for an adrenaline-pumping thrill. You can link reservations together with the reservation number and last name of the guest who is in a separate cabin. The dining tab of the Cruise Planner is where you can (1) purchase dining packages and (2) reserve individual meals at specialty restaurants. In general, Royal Caribbean's big, resort-like Icon Class, Oasis Class and Quantum Class ships will be more expensive than the line's older, smaller vessels (Icon Class ships are particularly pricey). However, there are a lot of factors that go into pricing for any given cruise, including the popularity of the specific itinerary, the time of year when the cruise is taking place and changing demand trends.

Holiday Vacations Around the World

Many of Royal Caribbean's biggest ships have state-of-the-art theaters as big as you'll find on Broadway, with top-name Broadway shows. Symphony of the Seas has "Hairspray," for instance, and Oasis of the Seas has Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Cats." Some of the extra-charge eateries come with a flat fee, usually around $35 to $50 per person, not including the cost of drinks.

It’s an age-old question — does the early bird really get the worm, or are there perks to taking a “wait-and-see” approach? If you’re booking a cruise vacation, you’ll find there are benefits to both strategies. Planning ahead is a great way to score big savings, as Royal Caribbean often runs early saver deals to guests booking well in advance. It’s also pretty safe to assume prices usually go up as availability goes down the closer you get to your sail date, so booking ahead is a surefire way to lock in a great rate.

No matter which ship you choose to sail on, this is a fleet filled with incredible feats. Set to launch in the summer of 2024, Utopia of the Seas℠ will be the sixth Oasis Class ship, Royal Caribbean's class of ships packed with adventure and entertainment. Royal Caribbean also offers deals based on departure ports and destinations, so if you’re a flexible traveler looking for great savings, you can plan your next vacation around which itineraries are on sale.

As you might expect, pricing for all ships will generally be less during offseason periods such as September and October. During the evenings, there is an official dress code, but it only applies to passengers entering the main dining room. On any given night, one of three dress codes will apply — casual, smart casual or formal. You must be 21 to consume alcohol on sailings originating in North America or the United Arab Emirates. The drinking age on sailings from South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand is 18. The line's five Quantum Class vessels have a much smaller version of the Royal Promenade called the Royal Esplanade that transitions into another indoor area called The Via.

Are you looking for a romantic escape, a family getaway, or the perfect way to celebrate a milestone occasion? When you plan a cruise trip with us, you’re choosing a vacation that will max out memories like never before. From gourmet globetrotting and awe-inspiring entertainment to one-of-a-kind thrills and sun-soaked itineraries — you can count on larger-than-life experiences for adventurers of all types. The sailings out of Colon and Cartagena offer the chance to visit Southern Caribbean ports such as Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao that aren't on most Royal Caribbean itineraries in the Caribbean.

A good travel agent will quiz you about your particular interests, travel style and preferences and steer you to the perfect cruise line, ship, itinerary and cabin for you. An agent also can help you if something goes wrong before, during or after your voyage. Most onboard activities, such as rock climbing and zip lining, are included in the fare, as are your lodging, meals (in non-extra-charge restaurants) and entertainment. All vessels have North American-style 110-volt outlets in rooms, as well as European-style 220-volt outlets.

For would-be Royal Caribbean cruisers, Freedom of the Seas serves as a sort of "test the line" ship. Its short sailings and low pricing mean you're not out a lot in time or money if you don't have the time of your life. It caters heavily to first-time cruisers as well as Florida locals who can book on short notice and drive into the port for a quick escape. Based in Miami, the 16-year-old vessel operates short three- and four-night voyages to the Bahamas that are often on sale for just $250 per person or less. It's a lot more affordable per day than the two ships mentioned above, which are the belles of the ball in the Royal Caribbean fleet and command significantly higher rates. Called the Suite Neighborhood, the complex offers some of the biggest (and priciest) suites at sea, including the sprawling, two-deck-high Royal Loft suites that measure more than 1,500 square feet.

The line also operates five somewhat smaller Voyager Class vessels that can each hold around 3,800 passengers at maximum occupancy. Now you and your party can customize your vacation together using the Cruise Planner calendar. Each day of your trip is listed and broken down by location, date, arrival and departure times and what has been reserved by guest. It's a snapshot view of what your vacation looks like, reserved in advance the way you want it. Here are some Rome vacation must-sees and tips on how to navigate travel when arriving or departing via cruise through Civitavecchia.

The vessel's keel-laying (aka "coin ceremony") ceremony was held on June 18, 2019, with which officially started ship's construction at Meyer Werft's Turku Shipyard in Finland. During the special event, newly-minted unique coins were placed under the first hull/keel block in the drydock. The coins are traditionally placed to bring luck to the vessel during construction and later at sea. Available on all Fun Ships is Chef's Table (VIP dining experience / 12-guest capacity) that includes multicourse dinner with ship's Master Chef, private cocktail reception and galley/kitchen tour. This dining option usually takes place in a non-traditional venue (a dedicated room in the galley) and can be booked onboard for USD 75 per person.

Oasis Of The Seas current position

Oasis-class currently represents the world's biggest passenger ship design, however, Oasis OTS happened to be the smallest in this series - although with just 50 mm (~2 inches) shorter than Allure. There was a competition for proposing the best name for the hulls of both vessels. In the event of an emergency, AIS ship tracking can be used to quickly locate and contact a vessel in distress. The traditional ocean liner was launched in 1961 (under the name "Empress of Canada"). On January 25, 2019, was announced that the new Carnival XL-class vessel will have 6 themed zones (neighborhoods) - Grand Central, French Quarter, Lido-Pool, La Piazza, Summer Landing, The Ultimate Playground. Our goal has been to provide our readers with expansive coverage of all aspects of the Royal Caribbean experience.

Track Cruise Ships Live / Real-time Cruise Ship Tracking

On November 4, 2016, world's 3 largest cruise ships - Harmony, Allure and Oasis - convened off Florida's coast. The unique event was live streamed officially by RCI, starting at approx 5 pm EST. The meeting at open sea coincided with the Harmony's arrival at Port Everglades (her US homeport), finishing a 13-night Transatlantic repositioning cruise from Barcelona to Florida (Oct 23 - Nov 5).

You can also zoom in or out of the map using the + and – icons on the top right of the map.

They are offered at Guy's Pig and Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse (Brewhouse), The names of the new draft beers are inspired by the BBQ offerings at the Smokehouse/Brewhouse. The boat has 18 decks, of which 15 are passenger-accessible and 11 with cabins. The XL-Class is similar in design and facilities to Helios-Class ships produced for Carnival Corporation's brands Costa and AIDA by Meyer Werft in Papenburg Germany. You can add or remove filtered layers, such as weather or vessel size and age. That means that most ship trackers available for free will only be completely accurate when the ship is close enough to shore for a land-based receiver to pick up the transmissions. Most modern vessels use a combination of land-based AIS data, satellite AIS relays, and land-based, very-high frequency radios (VHF) line-of-sight equipment.

Whatever the reason for your curiosity, checking a ship’s location is a straightforward process. Ship's Royal Amplified drydock refurb is scheduled for 2019 (September 22 - November 23) and budgeted USD 165 million (EUR 150M). By this 63-day long drydocking project (at Navantia Shipyard in Cadiz Spain) many new venues will be added, including some fleet-firsts. Each of the "good ladies" symbolized one of the ship's 7 different neighbourhoods.

Rudi's Seagrill is another fleet-first dining venue (seafood restaurant by Rudi Sodamin / Holland America Line's Master Chef).

It helps large vessels like cruise ships, and others know each other’s current location, speed, heading, routes, etc. You can look up a specific cruise ship or focus on a particular fleet from your favorite cruise line. Of course, this system also can show many other vessels such as cargo ships, pilots, yachts, passenger ferries, and many more.

Each meal ends with the specialty desserts "Chocolate Bento Box" and "Green Tea Ice Cream". The restaurant is open for lunch (seadays only) and for dinner (every night of the voyage). Carnival XL-Class ship design features a new (red-white-navy blue) hull and was created by the NYC-based naval architecture firm "Bluarch Architecture". Pool Deck (deck 15) was completely renovated and redesigned, also receiving "The Lime and Coconut" (2-level poolside bar/first added on Navigator OTS). The new venue offers beverages (including cocktails), DJ, and live outdoor music performances.

Over 70% of all staterooms are outside, 300 pairs are connecting/family cabins. You will then be shown a list of cruise ships that are available for tracking within that cruise line. Like the Vista-class Carnival liners, Mardi Grass has Havana staterooms with a patio (indoor-outdoor space) with direct access to an exclusive Sundeck area with loungers, Bar and swimming pool. Another Vista-class type of cabins are Family Harbor (clustered near Camp Ocean/kids club) and with direct access to the exclusive Family Harbor Lounge. Cloud 9 Spa staterooms traditionally offer exclusive amenities, including premium bathrobes and slippers and Elemis brand toiletries. The 2021-built Carnival Mardi Gras cruise ship is CCL-fleet's first newest and largest liner of the Carnival XL-Class.

The Automatic Identification System, or AIS, is a system used by ships and other vessels to identify each other and transmit their locations. This information can be used to track the progress of a cruise ship as it travels from port to port. The data transmitted by AIS includes the vessel’s name, course, speed, destination, ship type, and any safety-related messages. It also provides an indication of the vessel’s size, type, cargo, and maneuverability. Track a specific cruise ship live by searching for it by name below or by selecting it from the cruise line options below. Tracking a specific cruise ship will give you additional details like the ship's current location, recent track, speed, course, next port destination, estimated time of arrival (ETA) and more.

The naming ceremony took place at Port Everglade, on December 5, 2009. In 2020 (May 6 through October 25), Oasis OTS was to be homeported in NYC (Port Cape Liberty, Bayonne New Jersey), starting turnaround operations in May 2020. Through 2020 summer, Oasis had planned 7-day Florida-Bahamas itineraries visiting Port Canaveral, Nassau, and CocoCay Island. For August 1 (2020) was scheduled a special 8-day itinerary also visiting Miami. There are two "secret balconies" positioned close to the aft elevators on Deck 9.
